Wandering Away

Watching from your throne, how can you let this go on, Lord? We’ve taken your word and trivialized it. We’ve taken your church and put heretics and wicked in charge. We appointed them to priestly roles so they can take your sons and daughters down to the pit. The wicked run rampant on our streets, killing and robbing the innocent, and it all goes unchecked. But that evil can’t compare to the vanity of the people who are more interested in appearances than the condition of their souls. For them, there is no spiritual realm, no Gods, except themselves and the things they idolize. Then there are the ones who worship the enemy outright, casting spells, carrying stones, and wearing his symbols proudly in crowds. It is all so evil. All of us, even your saints. We concern ourselves not with the care of our brothers and sisters, or even our children, but with our finances. We give little to your church though we know you will bless us for it. I know you will rescue us, but is it too late? Modern day Sodom and Gomorrah, evil to the core, empty soulless husks. What good are we in the battle between good and evil? Why fight over us when we are unfaithful and run the opposite direction? You are like a father calling after a child who doesn’t know they wandered away until too late.
